Selective plating contaminant test (wild yeast only, quantitative and comprehensive)
We can do selective plating contaminant testing from liquid sources (e.g. beer, wort, fermentor, yeast starter/slurry, bright tank, bottles, kegs, water), a swab (e.g. tanks, hoses, heat exchangers, other equipment), or airborne contaminants (“check plates”). Selective plating from liquid sources are performed using either membrane filtration or the pour plate method. Liquid sources, swabs, and airborne contaminants are plated/captured on the following types of selective media: Universal Beer Agar, WLD, LCSM, NBB, and LWYM to allow a comprehensive selection of wild yeast (some of these media grow normal yeast also that we use as a basis of comparison).
